D’Banj endorses Fascinating Nigeria

Music star, D’Banj, has endorsed the country’s new tourism brand identity, ‘Fascinating Nigeria’. The brand was launched last month at a colourful event held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The artiste lauded the initiative and described it as timely when he visited the Minister of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation, Edem Duke recently in Abuja.

He said, “I have travelled round the world and come to the conclusion that there is no country that is as fascinating as Nigeria. I was not in the country when the brand was unveiled but the feelers I have got from my colleagues and what I have seen so far about the campaign are exciting. The ‘Fascinating Nigeria’ campaign will surely project all the positives that Nigeria has to offer to tourists and businessmen at national and international levels.”


He described the Minister as receptive, adding that this is what makes him and other entertainers find it easy to work with him. D’Banj promised to use his platform to promote ‘Fascinating Nigeria’ and other activities of the Ministry and Nigeria.

Responding, Duke appreciated the musician for visiting him and described music as the soul of entertainment.  He explained that the objective of ‘Fascinating Nigeria’ is to use it as a platform to tell the world all that is good about Nigeria.

He lauded D’Banj’s patriotism, humility and talent, noting that the musician’s collaborations with international music stars has further projected Nigerian music positively.
