David Moyes has hit back at Arsene Wenger's comments about Robin van Persie still being an "Arsenal man", reminding the Gunners boss that the Dutchman won the Premier League title with Manchester United.
The striker moved to Old Trafford in a deal worth £24 million (€29m) last summer after expressing his dissatisfaction with the direction the north London had taken.
The Netherlands international won the Premier League in his first season, so, even though Wenger insists he still considers his former player "an Arsenal man" after eight seasons at the Emirates Stadium, Moyes says that the Dutch forward is a United man now.
"He started in England at Arsenal but won the title here," Moyes told reporters ahead of Sunday's meeting between the two sides at Old Trafford.
"I think people in Manchester see him as a Manchester United player."
Van Persie notched 132 goals during his time at the Emirates Stadium - becoming the club's eighth all-time top scorer - but carried his good form with him to Old Trafford, notching 30 goals under Sir Alex Ferguson last season.
