Jonathan Meets Northern Governors

One week after President Goodluck Jonathan and some northern governors met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his Ota farm, the governors Saturday converged in the Presidential Villa where they held another round of meeting.

The Saturday meeting, enlarged and held behind closed-doors, was the third of its type within one week. The second was at Minna, where some Northern governors met with former Heads of State, Generals Ibrahim Babangida and Abdul-Salami Abubakar.

The first two meetings had only governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but Saturday's meeting had two governors of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in attendance.
