Chan qualifier: Keshi drops 6 Eagles

Super Eagles coach Stephen has dropped six players from the final squad that will embark on a trip to Abidjan on Thursday ahead of the return leg of the 2014 CHAN qualifier against Ivory Coast.

Keshi picked 18 out of the 24 in camp for the game scheduled for Saturday.

Top on the list of the dropped players is Gambo Muhammed who plays for Kano Pillars. Gambo suffered a knock in Monday’s training and it is obvious he has not gained full fitness.

Dele Olorundare (Sunshine Stars), Ganiyu Ogungbe (Kwara Utd),  and Haruna Babalo (Nasarawa Utd) were also excluded from the contingent. Others are Mohammed Jiya (Bayelsa United FC) and Eziekel Bassey(Lobi Stars).

Super Eagles are set to make their CHAN debut as they take a 4-1 lead into the second leg, and need a draw against the Elephants to grab the ticket
