Oscar Pistorius’ brother cleared over woman’s death

The brother of South African Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius has been acquitted of culpable homicide over a 2008 road accident that caused the death of a woman motorcyclist.
Carl Pistorius was driving when Maria Barnard crashed her motorbike into the back of his car. The court ruled that the woman was driving too fast.

Pistorius wept as the court announced its decision.
The case became the focus of media attention after Carl’s more famous athelete brother, Oscar, was charged for the premeditated murder of his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day earlier this year. It is alleged he shot her dead in his home.His next appearance in court is scheduled for June 4.
