More facts are beginning to emerge as to the real reason why Femi Kuti lost out in the Grammys for the fourth time in a row.dailytimes
According to an insider who hinted DT, although Femi himself may have known it would be same old story which explains why he'd sent his elder sister to represent him at the awards, President Jonathan's anti-gay law may have been a contributing factor to his being edged out again.
Femi who competed in the category of ‘World Music' for his album 'No Place For My Dream' but lost out to French group Gipsy Kings and South African choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo in a tie, was said to have stood a better chance of winning the award were it not for the last minuite law which is totally against President Obama and the rest of the world.
Moreso, the gay marriage ceremony conducted on the stage of Grammy by Queen Latifah, was said to be a way of mocking Nigeria and to say its citizens would get nothing from Grammy as long as they keep kicking against President Obama.
This literally means that Nigerians don't stand the chance of being nominated in subsequent Grammys, but if they do; they stand no chance of winning.
