PDP Panics; Begs Tambuwal Not To Abandon Jonathan

The signals are now very clear that the PDP is set to lose its majority in the House of Reps to the APC and it is believed that Senators will follow suit once the leadership of the House of Reps is taken over by the APC.

As a result, President Goodluck Jonathan’s men and top PDP officials, including Bamanga Tukur, have all been running from pillar to post, trying to convince the Speaker of the House of Reps, Aminu Tambuwal that he is their man and that they are ready to work with him if he could help save the situation.

The governor of Tambuwal’s state, Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto, has already dumped PDP and joined APC and the Speaker is working closely with his governor. But the PDP say they have another option…

The party has commenced a desperate last move to stop dissenting Senators and Reps from crossing over to the rival APC in the National Assembly, a move that will “finish” the party even before 2015.

Already, due to the obvious signals in the House of Reps that it is going with APC, 22 Senators from PDP are set to dump the party too. If this happens, APC will also have majority and take charge of the Senate.

A credible source in Abuja told OluFamous.Com that the Presidency has been informed that lawmakers might be decamping from PDP this week. It is believed that a crisis may be engineered to make it possible for the Senate President, David Mark, to suspend some Senators in order to stop the move.

But the Senators are insisting that no amount of intimidation will make them remain in the PDP.
OLUFAMOUS
