Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo to own a Ferrari LaFerrari

Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo recently became the most paid football player in the world when he signed the contract extension with Spanish giants Real Madrid. Now, according to reports, the Portuguese winger will earn around 15 million Euros in a year from salary. Not only does Ronaldo earn big, he also likes living life king size.
He is known for his looks, mostly funky hairstyles, and is the brand ambassador for many fashion labels. However, if there is one thing that Cristiano Ronaldo loves other than scoring amazing goals, it is cars.

The Real Madrid star has a long list of vehicles, which includes some fantastic sports cars.According to sources, up till now, Ronaldo has spent around 4.9 million dollars on purchasing vehicles. And if reports are to be believed then the footballer is set to splash another 1.3 million on Ferrari LaFerrari, which is counted among the top sports cars on the planet.

At present, Ronaldo is one of the 499 customers who are waiting for this prancing horse model. Reports suggest that the Italian car manufacturer has kept a clause for selling the LaFerrari.

It is believed that Ferrari is going to sell the LaFerrari only to those customers who own a minimum of five models from the brand. If this is the case then the situation might be a little tricky for Ronaldo as he, reportedly, owns only four Ferrari cars.

Thereby, to purchase the LaFerrari, the former Manchester United star will have to either buy another car from the brand or shell out extra money to get the model. If Ronaldo does end owning the LaFerrari, it will join the list of the likes of Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, Bugatti Veyron, Aston Martin DB9 and Phantom Rolls-Royce. However, he will have to be careful while driving the LaFerrari as the footballer had a bad experience when he crashed the newly bought Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano in England.

Ferrari is known for producing scintillating looking vehicles that are fast, stylish and technologically advanced. Some of the most popular models from the Italian car maker are California, 458 Italia, F12berlinetta and FF.
The LaFerrari is a limited edition car that was showcased for the first time at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show. Interestingly, the design of this model has got no inputs from Pininfarina, a car design firm based in Italy that has been associated with Ferrari for over six decades.

The LaFerrari has a wheel base of 2655 mm along with a kerb weight of 1255 kg. Incredibly, this hybrid sports car runs on the combination of a 6.3-litre V-12 engine and two electric motors, wherein one controls the driven wheels while the other operates the ancillaries.

The LaFerrari is capable of generating peak output of 963 bhp, which includes 800 bhp from the V12 engine and the remaining from the motors. This sports car has the capability of clocking 100 kmph from scratch in a time frame below 3 seconds. In addition, it has a company claimed top speed of around 350 kmph.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been in sublime form during the 2013-2014 season, scoring 11 goals in 9 appearances. The highlight of Ronaldo's season so far has been his hat-trick against Turkish club Galatasaray in the group stage fixture of the UEFA Champions League.

There was a lot of speculation about Cristiano Ronaldo moving back to his former club Manchester United during the summer following the arrival of Welshman Gareth Bale to Real Madrid, making the latter the most expensive player in the football history. However, contrary to rumours, the Portuguese star penned a new deal with the Los Blancos, which also made him the most paid footballer on the planet.
