The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency on Thursday arraigned a 38-year-old man, Shittu Sulaiman, at the Federal High Court, Ibadan, for the possession of 8.9kg of marijuana.
The Prosecutor, Morakinyo Olusanya, told the court that the defendant was caught with 8.9kg of marijuana on April 19.
Olusanya added that the incident happened at Ayete town in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo state.
He said the offence contravened Section 19 of the NDLEA Act Cap N.30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor tendered the exhibit recovered from the accused to the court.
The Judge, Justice Abimbola Obaseki-Adejumo, adjourned the case to October18, for judgment.
