Van Persie content with life at Man Utd under Moyes

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has denied rumours suggesting that he was unhappy with the coaching methods of new manager David Moyes.

Van Persie, currently away on international duty with the Netherlands, was signed from Arsenal by Sir Alex Ferguson last summer, and helped Man Utd win the title in his final season in charge, scoring 30 goals in all competitions.

After Ferguson retired in May after 26 and-a-half years as boss, Moyes was given the job after impressing consistently during his 11 years as manager of Everton. So far, Moyes has led Man Utd to four points from their opening three Premier League matches, and oversaw a defeat to arch rivals Liverpool on Sunday.

Although van Persie has continued his impressive scoring record under Moyes, rumours have surfaced that the 30-year-old was dissatisfied by the new coaching methods in place at Old Trafford. But, rejecting the talk, van Persie said: “It's great working with the new manager David Moyes.

“He has his own style and methods and I like these. I'm happy with the style of Moyes. He does his own training sessions, he's close with the players and prepares us with his staff very well for the next opponent. That keeps us in shape.”
