Kaduna State Speaker, Deputy, Impeached

The crisis in the Kaduna State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has infected the State House of Assembly got messier with the removal of its Speaker, Hon. Usman Mua’zu Gangara and his replacement by Hon.
Shehu Usman Tahir representing Giwa State Constituency.

Also impeached was the deputy Speaker who was replaced with Hon. Peter Adamu from Kagarko State Constituency.

The impeached Speaker and his deputy were both absent, but the Clerk of the House told the session that he received no notice of their absence.

The Clerk subsequently read a portion of the 1999 Constitution which gives the House the right to approve a member to preside over the sitting in the absence of the two officers, and Hon Philmon Usman representing Kakuri State Constituency was chosen.
