Akwa Ibom sets up committee on training of pilots, engineers

Akwa  Ibom  State government has appointed a committee to  train more youths from the state as pilots and aeronautic engineers.

Governor Godswill Akpabio, who announced this recently while fielding questions from Government House correspondents at Governor’s Lodge, Uyo,  said: “we are putting in so much at the airport, and by the time we are through, it would be sad if major aircraft. are taking off and landing and you don’t see Akwa Ibom pilots or aeronautic engineers among them.

 “We would brush up our children who have already studied something in aviation industry and try to make sure that we re-certify them to be very marketable”.
