MILITARY personnel in Kano have arrested four foreigners from the
Middle East over large cache of arms and ammunition uncovered in their
mini-warehouse located in Bompai area of the Kano State capital.
This is just as the leader of the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, denied that his men were killed by soldiers, noting that instead, his people killed many of the security operatives.
However, the owner of the complex where the dangerous weapons were seized, simply identified as a Lebanese nationals, is also a guest of the military over the discovery.
As of the time of filing this report, the building on Gaya Road in Bompai was under heavy guard of military personnel.
The spokesman for the Military Joint Task Force and 3rd Brigade of Nigerian Army, Captain Ikedichi Iweha, however, stated that the Brigade would brief pressmen on the issue today, even as he declined comments on the incident which occurred on Tuesday night.
